Meet Our Optometrists
Tom F. Mihok, O.D.
Dr. Mihok has been practicing in Oakdale for over 25 years. As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Mihok provides complete eye exams, diagnoses, and treats disorders of the eyes or vision. In addition to providing eye exams Dr. Mihok is also certified to treat primary open angle glaucoma and perform lacrimal system irrigation and dilation. With this background, Dr. Mihok is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.
James E. Winnick, O.D.
Although direct patient care in private practice has always been Dr. Winnick’s primary focus, he has also been active in other areas of the profession. He became a Fellow and Diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry, an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, Past-President of his local optometric society and was awarded Young Optometrist of the Year from the California Optometric Association. He has also enjoyed teaching abroad, in both Russia and Poland, and serves as a clinical researcher and consultant for several ophthalmic and insurance companies.
